Right now, I'm working on something else to use my leftover wallpaper & i'm quite excited to be showing you guys the result soon.

Stay tuned.

on time out jakarta & ceritamu.com

First post after a week break... couldn't be better, especially when its done on a breezy rainy morning!

Today, i feel so blessed to be able doing something that i love. The feeling of looking forward to be back to work is surely a luxury to some people.

For those of you who haven't found it, whatever it is, please don't give up. The feeling is definitely worth the persistence it takes.

In this post, i'd like to share two publications that have featured Paperpleased over the week. One is my long-time favorite lifestyle magazine, Time Out Jakarta, and the other one is ceritamu.com (click here)

Special thanks to Tim & Nadia!

Vol. 4: Flower Chic (Carla)

Funny how the things we do don't seem to matter much compared to what's been happening in the world lately. Do you ever think so?

I saw the Japan tsunami footage again today, after numerous times over the past few days, and I still get goosebumps.
In times like this, aren't we all reminded of what really matters?

Being alive is such a blessing. Let's not take it for granted.

New Product: Cardholder!

This is, by far, the most complicated pattern and sewing i've ever done

...but i'm very (very) happy with the result.

Each cardholder has 12 card slots, 3 "hidden" pockets (behind each card slot) and another pocket on the back.

Every card slot is double-stitched and backed with cellulose tape (as with the wallets & passport covers) to ensure they are strong enough to hold your cards, receipts, little notes, etc. Nylon string is also sewn along the edges to maintain its shape.

Start filling your cards from the front pocket to the back. By not pushing the card all the way down in the back pocket, makes it easier for you to get it out anytime.

Special thanks to Ika for asking for this product.

1.SOLD, 2.SOLD, 3. SOLD
one color one piece only

Vol. 4: Flower Chic (Roxanne)

You know what song i'm listening to at this moment by the title of this post.
One of my favourite songs by Sting&The Police. Take some time to check out its awesomeness here.

Anyway, back to the wallets!

This series comes in two patterns. No 1 to 3 shares a pattern of vine flowers, while no.4 to 6 are of some small flowers (best described by looking at the pics).
Do enjoy the pics while listening to the song!

Vol. 4: Flower Chic (Mary Anne)

Mary Anne is the shy girl you always see in the neighborhood.

She doesn't come out much.
Her alabaster skin is so pale, its hard to capture her beauty under the sun.
When she smiles though all the flowers begin to bloom, leaving you longing for more.

Vol. 4: Flower Chic (Shirley)

Here's Shirley looking at you... all pretty in blooms and the softest shades.

This series reminds me of dresses in the 1930s era, like those ones they wore in the movie "Atonement". Frilly, delicate and feminine.

Following previously, wallet that comes with a matching passport cover will be sold as a pair.

So happy to be featured in one of Indonesia's best-known womens magazine!
Best of all, it talks about the important of 'upcycling'. Something that we should do whenever possible.

Wholesale

This is my first "big" order of 100 wallpaper wallets (with block-note) for a multilevel-marketing fashion company called Keiza.

There were more than 20 patterns for the wallets, so it makes quite a combination of colors. Unfortunately, i couldn't find those thin, recycled paper envelopes that i wanted to use to package them, so i had to succumb to the most practical way: plastic sheets :(

Any ideas on using other materials maybe?

Vol. 4: Flower Chic (Laura)

Knowing some of you are very eagerly anticipating the new collections has made me very excited in wallpaper wallets!

Starting from this collection, however, each wallet that comes with a passport cover will be sold as a pair. This is due to demand from those who want to purchase them as a pair, i hope you understand.

The limited quantity of the wallpaper also made some of the wallets come without passport covers and/or noteblock (instead of card slots).

I've listed the details and prices for each wallet below to make it easier for ordering.

1 pattern 1 piece only. Sold-out ones can't be remade.

Enjoy!

Passport cover #3... with pockets!

I love it when i get a creative request like this...
One girl asked me whether i could make the passport covers with card slots on the inside.

I wanted to make them sturdier than the previous ones, and fully covered on both inner and outer sides. So they look just as pretty when you take the passport out.

I can honestly say i am very satisfied with the way they turned out :)

The first pocket is just nice for your 4x6cm photo

pretty with or without passport, with card slots on front&back flaps

only no.5 available

PS: no 4, 5, and 6 are the matching patterns from Vol.3: Sparkle&Shine (Entire) series.
