vanina's wedding

It is with joy and pleasure that the day of writing this post has finally come.
I've finally finished two-hundreds (yes, writing the number in letters, instead of numbers, for maximum impact) pieces of cardholders for Nina's wedding.

It took me two months and four books of Japanese wallpaper to work on this project, with the help of a replacement assistant on the last week completing it. The patterns (oh the patterns!) are so varied and wonderful, and only one piece of each cardholder. (Pardon me for being so lazy to take more pictures!)

The wedding itself will be held on 22nd July 2012 in Conrad Hotel, Bali.
I'm so... EXCITED to be there to witness the wonderful union of these two best friends and to check out the gorgeous venue in person myself. It'll surely be a blast.

Happy wedding Vanina & Dean!
Thank you for giving me the honor to bless your guests through my creation.
May your paths be filled with love, laugh, tears and joy!

I found a book of vintage kid's wallpapers among my collection and i think their looks goes very well with the Hellofest event that i'm participating this Saturday.

Featuring old-school illustrations and patterns on the borders which i top-stitched onto the covers of some of the wallets. Just so charming!

New Product: Cardholder!

This is, by far, the most complicated pattern and sewing i've ever done

...but i'm very (very) happy with the result.

Each cardholder has 12 card slots, 3 "hidden" pockets (behind each card slot) and another pocket on the back.

Every card slot is double-stitched and backed with cellulose tape (as with the wallets & passport covers) to ensure they are strong enough to hold your cards, receipts, little notes, etc. Nylon string is also sewn along the edges to maintain its shape.

Start filling your cards from the front pocket to the back. By not pushing the card all the way down in the back pocket, makes it easier for you to get it out anytime.

Special thanks to Ika for asking for this product.
