honda tvc

Three weeks ago, I was approached by my friend, Nanda, who holds a cool job as a tvc director, to make her ... a scrapbook.
It was for a Honda commercial in celebration of Kartini's day that she was making.

Now, I have to admit, i've had the least bit of interest in scrapbooking.
The act of arranging and decorating pictures with one-thousand-and-one bric-a-brac, seems a little too self-indulging, not to mention time-consuming, for me. I can see why the hobby was so popular but it's just not for me.

Nanda, being a good friend that she is, assured me over and over again that i could totally do this. With her voice kept repeating in my head and a thirst for challenge *yeah*, i agreed to do it.
I was briefed on Tuesday afternoon to make 3 double-page scrapbook spreads of different theme each, for Wednesday noon. It was that short of time.

I worked til 4.30am making the sort-of "first draft" of those 3 pages.
The next day, it turned out that we had a change of look (for the book) which made me had to re-do everything again. it was quite a stressful day.
After shopping frantically for materials, it took me about 6 hours before i was finally happy with the result.

That night, i went home with the biggest smile on my face.

The fear of not being able to deliver and disappointing people who trust me, from the previous night had vanished into thin air.

I'm happy they were satisfied with the result *thank God*, but more importantly i was happier because i had defeated my old-not-confident-self and proved it wrongly. It was certainly a memorable and one-of-a-kind birthday (yes, it was my birthday that day).

Now that Nanda has sent me the video, i'm more than happy to share it with you.
Hope you like it!
